Why is it important for adults to continue their education
Adult education allows adults to develop their skills and learn new ones. Not only that, adult learners are physically and mentally healthier! Learning throughout life is responsible for improved mental health and adults that participate in it are more self-confident, hopeful and purposeful!

Panama Road School has worked with Fonua Ola and they have run a very successful 18 hour “Weaving a Lei for Your Child” programme covering the following topics:
- Week 1 – Introductions, Consent, Goals, building your Fale and NZ Acts

Adult Sewing Classes:
Beginner classes are available to adult learners. There are 5 sewing machines available to use. If parents have their own sewing machine and would like to bring this along to learn on, it is up to you.

The lessons will occur weekly at Panama Road School. Parents are encouraged to bring along clothing or other items that may need repair so that they can make use of the sewing machines and the expertise of the ladies available to help.
